Projects Estimator/Surveyor.
We are seeking a skilled Projects Estimator / Surveyor for our expanding family run Facilities & Maintenance company based in Bishops Stortford.
You will be responsible for conducting site surveys and preparing audits for the projects team. You must hold high attention to detail to ensure the provision of accurate assessments of works and measurements for our construction projects.
This role will be split between office based working and on site surveys. A full driving licence and the ability to travel into central London is a must.
You will be responsible for your own efficient diary management and be working in line with personal KPIs and client based SLAs.

Duties
- Conducting site audits and surveys, ensuring the projects team can then facilitate pricing and successfully commence works.
- Preparing accurate survey reports, and site audits using our systems and CRM's.
- Collaborate with engineers, and project team to ensure all required data is gathered, to allow for project planning and design.
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Providing guidance to staff on site for various projects and works.
- Gaining new suppliers and sub contractors, completing price comparison exercises on a periodic basis.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors and vendors.
- Assessing the risk levels for works and compiling RAMS and method statements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on site.
- Conducting works site audits upon completion, to ensure all H&S protocols were followed works was completed to a high standard.
- Gaining an understanding of safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe working practice with on site.
- Assisting the projects team with various projects and works as required, both site and office based.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience and qualifications in a trades role or estimating, surveying background.
- Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Proficient in using surveying equipment and software.
- Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret engineering plans, site O&M's and blueprints.
- Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self Motivated.
- Must hold a valid Driver's Licence.
- Successful candidates will hold previous experience of a similar role within a contracting environment.
